Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the presence of phytoconstituents from the methanolic leaves extract of Jasminum malabaricum Wight. Preliminary phytochemical screening of leaves indicates the presence of alkaloids, carbohydrates, lipids, amino acids, fats and oils, glycosides, mucilage, phenols, flavonoids, steroids, tannins, saponins. Furthermore, GC-MS analysis revealed the presence of 20 phytocompounds in the extract.
