Moringa oleifera leaf extract have been reported to have antifungal potential on various fungi. Therefore, the present study was conducted in finding out the Methanol, and Ethanol extract of Moringa leaves on fungi like Aspergillus oryzae and Rhizopus stolanifer. The extracts were screened at varaying concentrations (25mg/ml,50mg/ml,100 mg/ml, 150mg/ml, 200mg/ml) for their antifungal activity against the test fungi. As- pergillus oryzae more susceptible to the extracts with high mean zone of inhibition of 14.00 ± 0.20mm for methanolic extract and 12.20±0.10 etanolic extract compared to Rhizopus stolanifer with 8.33 ± 0.22 for methano- lic extract and 7.66 ±0.10 etanolic extract. MIC (Minimum inhibitory concentration) for Aspergillus oryzae was 75mg/ml and for Rhizopus stolanifer it was 100mg/ml, the inhibitory properties of the extracts affect the growth of the fungi by affecting their metabolism. This study showed botanicals are now emerging as safer and more compatible approach to control fugal pathogens and Moringa oleifera acts as ecofriendly fungicide.
