Abstract

SAR is leading to enhance defence mechanism of plants activated by pathogen interaction or biotic or abiotic elicitors, derived from microbes or chemicals, trigger treatments. It. Due to infection, induced systemic resistance (ISR) also arise and strengthen the plant’s physical and chemical barriers without inhibiting pathogens. The plants response includes a salicylic acid (SA) depending signalling cascade that promotes to long – lasting resistance against pathogens. Here we discusses about the pathway, mechanisms and role of salicylic acid (SA) in plant - pathogen interaction.
