Abstract

This research paper explores the concept of Green Economics within the context of India’s vision for a Viksit Bharat (Developed India) by 2047. Green economics refers to an economic framework that seeks to integrate ecological sustainability with economic growth. The paper examines how India can leverage green economic strategies to meet its sustainable development goals (SDGs) while achieving its aspirations of becoming a developed nation. It addresses the importance of balancing growth with environmental preservation and proposes policies that could foster green innovation, sustainability in agriculture, industry, and urban development, and a transition to a low-carbon economy. The paper also discusses the role of technology, government policies, and social participation in this journey towards a sustainable and prosperous India by 2047.
